Life on an African Safari

If you’re thinking about heading to a safari in the near future, or perhaps just want to find out more then we’re going to provide you with an overview. Life on an African safari is hard work, but extremely rewarding. It can take a lot out of you when you’re hiking, aiming to spot animals and perhaps gain close up views.

The heat can be quite intense, especially if you’re not used to it, but the people you’ll meet and the sights you’ll see are quite spectacular. You will literally wan to photograph every single moment, and today there is also a luxury side involved on an African safari.

Depending on your safari package, you may be entitled to a private tour guide, and he or she will be responsible for keeping you safe, getting you good viewings and dealing with your equipment. Life on a safari can be whatever you want it to be, but to experience it to the full we’d recommend a private experience.

Volunteering In Africa

Africa is a continent that’s very much in demand of volunteers. There is help required in schools, wildlife sanctuaries, activity groups and society in general. There is no doubt that areas of Africa are deprived, and work experience can be a really rewarding experience.

There are charities out there who are willing to provide you with accommodation, and allowance and usually the only fee you have to pay is your flights. Volunteering in Africa is can see you meet some amazing people, visit some spectacular places and see another part of the world in a completely different light.

If you love sports, or wildlife, or teaching then the possibilities are out there, and so many people are now having a positive effect on Africa by volunteering. Often people volunteer for long periods of time, and that can mean a gap year, or several months spent in various areas of Africa, and the demand for volunteers exists all year round.

Why Visit Egypt?

Egypt is unlike any other country, and whilst it will mainly be known for its deserts, it’s important to know that there is plenty to be seen. A cruise on the River Nile can ensure you see the best of Egypt with high quality accommodation and food.

Then the mighty pyramids are definitely worth a look, and they probably sum up Egypt, especially Ancient Egypt. You can have a tour and it can really make you question just how these huge structures were built back in the ancient eras.

Egypt also benefits from the Valley of the Kings, which is not far from the Nile. Here you’ll find a sophisticated selection of tombs that were built for pharaohs. There’s plenty to be seen in these tombs – don’t worry, not bodies – but if you’re interested in witnessing history than Egypt should certainly top your list.
